Bopup Scanner

Bopup Scanner serves a simple enough purpose: it scans the local network, detects and lists all the active computers that are connected to it. The list includes computer names, user names, MAC addresses, and IP addresses. If one of the computers is a web server, this will be on the list as well.

Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, and all other Windows versions all the way down to Windows 95 are supported, and that’s great. It means that Bopup Scanner will work on any PC. What’s even better is that Bopup Scanner is portable software, meaning you won’t have to install it.

Bopup Scanner’s interface is nothing but a big list with a toolbar at the top and a status bar at the bottom. The toolbar lets you easily access the Options menu and refresh the list. The status bar displays the number of active computers, users, HTTP servers and the last time you refreshed the list.

The Options menu is quite important, because it lets you customize how Bopup Scanner works: retrieve from Windows network list, scan a certain IP range, wait for a response from the remote host for X seconds, scan for HTTP servers, select the network interface that will be used by the scanner.
